Pleasure holidays in summer

Countless kilometres of well-maintained hiking paths invite you to discover and enjoy the nature of the Ziller Valley by the power of your own two feet.

From leisurely strolls along the Ziller Promenade (only about 500 metres from the house), to hikes from hut to mountain hut, to high tours of the 3,000-metre peaks. You are sure to be thrilled – this is nature at its finest!

If you are in a sportier frame of mind, then why not head out for a run along the forest trail (just 500 metres from the house), boost your conditioning with a ride along one of our numerous mountain-bike trails, or simply enjoy utter relaxation as you breathe in our fresh forest air. Winter sports fans, too, find themselves on top of the world when they stay here with us.

So, once you are here in Zell, there is nothing left to do but "head for the mountains!"

Every single person will discover their own special mountain experience. Be that while hiking, mountaineering, out on one of the numerous mountain-bike trails, paragliding, or simply taking a relaxing stroll. The 45,000 m² Recreation Park enhances the holiday experience in Zell even more, with 4 outdoor and 3 indoor tennis courts, a modern 4-lane bowling alley, an adventure playground, a mini-golf course, a Fun Court for basket- and streetball, a beach-volleyball facility, a soccer pitch and a café with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. We actually hear of the centuries-old tradition of hospitality in Zell as early as 1428, when ambassadors from Italy journeying to Salzburg make explicit mention of a good inn in this very town!

Gauder Fest in May

But it is not only good hospitality which enjoys a deep-seated tradition here. Zell is also home to the oldest private brewery and even hosts Austria’s biggest springtime folk-costume festival every year on the first weekend in May, the so-called “Gauder Fest”.

Take a look at the energy and passion taking place when this well known annual festival is celebrated by visiting the picture gallery of the last years.
